Darby wind caves The Darby wind caves are a great hike to do on a Saturday afternoon. These caves are located about an hour out of Rexburg. The hike is a longer hike and it is about a 6-mile hike round trip. It takes most people around 4 hours to complete. When you start the hike, it is a nice walk through the woods. The hike slowly starts to incline and gets harder throughout the hike. This hike is beautiful and overlooks the valley. About halfway through the hike, you can spot the wind cave from a few miles away. There are some rocky sections on the hike and at the end of the hike, you will reach switchbacks. The most rewarding part of the hike is that you reach a waterfall at the end. At the end of the hike, there is a cool cave you can climb in and explore. The cave is dark and gets tinier and tinier as you explore. Makes sure to be careful, the cave can be a little slippery. This hike is the perfect thing to do on a Saturday afternoon.
